How I Generated a 122.4% E-mail Open Rate

In October, I sent an e-mail to my list with a subject line that read "A Little Inspiration for You." You may remember it.

 

The e-mail included a link to one of my favorite inspirational resources -- a video my twin brother sent me last year.

I'm amazed at the response that video received. People still watch it regularly two months later.

 

Research shows average open rates for an e-mail sent to a list hover around 30%. As of today, the open rate for that e-mail is 122.4%.

 

I think the message is clear ... these days people want to be inspired. (Hint: Is there a way to incorporate inspiration into your marketing efforts?)

 

That's why I'm sending you this follow-up e-mail with another short video.

But I whole-heartedly disagree.
