This Story Ends with a Gift for You

When I gave up the security of a steady paycheck on Friday, Dec. 31, 2004, I was naturally a bit nervous.

My full-time position as an editor and newsroom supervisor at an international newswire (which I held for nearly 6 years) wasn't bad. It's just the pull of entrepreneurship was too powerful to ignore.

I still recall leaving the office, walking down the three flights of concrete stairs, and crossing the parking lot to my car for the final time. Thoughts of uncertainty raced through my head ...

Could I really get enough clients to pay the bills?

What would I do if my business failed?

Am I putting other people at risk because I want to chase my dream?

Six days later, my wife and I made a long-awaited announcement at her surprise birthday party -- we were expecting our first child.

Now the stakes were even higher.

As is often the case, I turned to books for guidance. After all, reading -- and specifically Peter Bowerman's "The Well-Fed Writer" -- was responsible for my entry into the world of entrepreneurship.

During my next trip to Borders, I made my usual beeline for the business section. Often, I don't look for anything particular -- just titles that grab my attention.

On this day, my eyes stopped at 5 words on yellow book displayed with several others on a side table ... Secrets of the Millionaire Mind. I picked up the book, turned it over and saw a seemingly impossible promise by the author, T. Harv Eker ...

"Give me five minutes, and I can predict your financial future for the rest of your life!"

I bought the book, rushed home and started reading. As I flipped page after page, I couldn't help but notice a change occurring in my thought process.

What I realize now is I was using the concepts in the book to set my mind up for success.

Today, I'm well into the fifth year of running my copywriting business full-time, and I can honestly say I've never been more excited.

Sure, recession talk dominates the headlines. But I believe there have never been bigger opportunities for business and personal growth than right now.

As fate would have it, T. Harv Eker will be here in Phoenix for the first time on Monday, March 30, to present "The Wealthy Warrior: How to Succeed in Today's Economy ... No Matter What."

Not only will I be there, but you can come too ... for F R E E. This opportunity also extends to those of you outside of the Phoenix area because the teleseminar is available for F R E E as well.

The only catch is that seats are limited, so you must resister soon.

Most people will pay $59 to attend or listen to the teleseminar at http://www.peakpotentials.com/new/courses_camps/wealthywarrior.html.

However, here's a private link so you can secure your seats -- or a place on the teleseminar -- at no cost: http://www.wealthywarriorphoenix.com.

Once you register, you'll be asked to confirm your e-mail address and call a toll-free number to get your tickets.

See you there!

Sincerely,

Tom
