Day 10: Lose less by leveraging your marketing outreach

A quick way to see higher returns on your marketing is to reduce what you spend to acquire clients.

So when I first work with businesses on a Guaranteed Marketing Profits Program, my first objective isn’t always to increase revenue.

Instead, I look to uncover places that allow them to lose less money.

Because, as entrepreneurs and executives, we have a tendency to jump into marketing initiatives without a strategy. So we have to keep buying opportunities to get in front of audiences.

Problems further escalate when there isn’t a plan to leverage these outreach efforts.

A website is a perfect example.

The fact is …

You’re wasting money if you buy advertising or drive traffic to your website but don’t leverage either one to collect email addresses.

Building your email list is critical because it allows you to control your communication with prospects.

It’s your most valuable marketing asset for driving engagement and building relationships.

Think about it …

When you buy online advertising, use social media or pay to get in front of offline audiences, you’re playing on rented property. Not only must you continue spending to keep your message in front of people, but the “rules” can change at any time.

You have no say over when and how this happens. Your communication is controlled by whatever platform you use to deliver your message.

With email, you have complete control over the platform and your messaging.

So, if you don’t already, get an easy-to-use email service provider (like AWeber or MailChimp), create a sign-up form for your website and offer an incentive that appeals to potential prospects.

Another super simple way to get started is through SumoMe’s free list-builder tools.

After all, once you have email addresses, you can instantly communicate with prospects without having to open your wallet.
