Yikes!
It’s been more than two months since I shared anything with my subscriber list.
Yep, terrible move on my part.
You should, however, see much more of me, especially as we head into the fourth quarter. After all, this is the most profitable time of the year for many businesses ...
Which makes now the perfect time to update and optimize any underperforming marketing pieces.
So I want to make sure you’re armed with new insights into what’s working well right now.
Think about it …
If you multiplied the number of people who respond to your marketing, how would this impact your business?
Seriously, what would it do?
If you’d benefit from a boost in conversions, here’s a concept you must remember:
Today’s consumers expect a personalized experience before even considering your sales message. So use your outreach to speak to one specific need or problem at a time.
Let me give you an example ...
Just last week, I reviewed a print ad for a wellness company where much of the space was filled with a list of services.
Unfortunately, as is often the case with services, each one addressed a different type of prospect. So all the ad did was commoditize the business.
It provided zero benefit -- much less an experience -- for any potential prospect.
So the ad looked like … well … just another ad.
And here’s the thing:
When your ideal prospects see any outreach from you, it should be the most valuable content they see all day.
If it’s not, head back to the drawing board.
Because people don’t want to be sold. They want to feel like any buying decision is up to them.
If you only pitch or push pressure too early, they’ll resist.
So use your marketing to share information that makes prospects feel smarter, educated and supported when it’s time to buy (or hire you).
