In case you missed it, Panera Bread revealed it now offers an unlimited coffee and tea subscription for about $9 a month.

You see, this subscription service provides an appealing reason for customers to keep coming back to Panera.
In effect, it’s a marketing strategy.
One that keeps Panera top of mind and encourages customers to continue buying.
It’s also a strategy that makes it easy for Panera to consistently reach out to customers.
After all, to get the subscription, you must sign up for the company’s free loyalty program, which means Panera gets access to your contact information.
Far too often, companies stop marketing after making a sale. It’s crazy.
Because the reality is …
If you offer opportunities to buy from you again, people will do it, especially if you make an appealing offer.
Or you provide them with valid reasons to open their wallets again.
For Panera, subscribers in test markets visited almost every other day. Most purchased food during their visits (which created a 70% sales increase among these customers).
So now Panera generates new revenue by simply giving customers a compelling reason to repeatedly come back.
