When it comes to marketing these days, familiarity creates credibility.
Today’s consumers have become skilled researchers.
As a result, they take longer to make buying decisions.
Because they have the ability to evaluate many options.
But even before this step, they have endless resources for gathering information.
This is why it’s critical your brand is present wherever your potential clients fall in the buying cycle.
After all, as they see you more, they become increasingly familiar with what you offer.
Because of this advantage, retargeting is an absolute must right now.
Retargeting primarily uses paid ads to reach people after they visit your website.
(You can also use this tactic to target them before they visit — but that’s a topic for another time.)
So if they demonstrate interest but don’t reach out or buy, you stay in front of them with your brand/messaging — regardless of where they go online.
I call this “ethically stalking.”
It allows you to build credibility because you keep showing up in front of your potential clients.
You can then compound this effort by incorporating additional channels into your marketing.
And here’s the thing:
The daily cost for doing this type of activity is less than your tall caffe latte at Starbucks.
Which is why retargeting is a no-brainer as part of your marketing efforts.
The bottom line is, having patience with today’s consumers pays off.
Just make sure you have ways to stay in front of them and provide value until they’re ready to buy.
How well are you doing this?
