You have your marketing plan ready for 2023?
In other words...
Do you know what to do differently next year to improve on your marketing efforts from
2022?
If not, let me give you a super simple way to come up with a plan.
It’s something you can do every year around this time to figure out where you can get better, especially if you’re feeling discouraged or worried about what to do next.
And all you need is a piece of paper and pen.
Start by drawing a line down the center of the paper.
As you do this, think about a time when you felt proud and excited about the results you were getting in your business.
This could be a few months back or even several years ago.
Now, on the left side of the page, write down all the activities related to sales and marketing that you (or your team) were doing then.
What did your business look like? How did you
spend your time?
Once you finish jotting down these details, move to the right side of the page and list what your sales and marketing activities look like now.
What’s being done differently?
Because all you need to
do is compare the two sides and adjust accordingly.
You see, we often get so overwhelmed with figuring out new tactics that we overlook solutions sitting right in front of us.
(Remember what I said in my last tips email about the downside of AI and other new tools?)
The results you get in your business come from the activities you and your team do every day.
And if you’re not happy with what’s happening, go back to doing what worked before.
I promise you’ll feel better.
And you’ll build momentum.
In most cases, you know what you need to do.
So, in 2023, it’s time to just do those activities.
Lead with the actions that align with where you want your company to go.
